Chicken Tikka and Harry Potter

My life right now is awfully boring, but matt and I still manage to have fun together in the evenings.  Last night we made chicken tikka (such comfort food), tried a large bottle of Trader Joe's Vintage Ale 2007 (their holiday variety), which matt liked more than i did, and made Kahlua flavored ice cream which was very boozy.

Then we proceeded to read the Deathly Hallows aloud to each other until we tired of talking, so we ended up holding the book between us and reading it silently, at the same pace.  When we ended at a cliffhanger chapter ending, we looked at each other and said something to the effect of "wasn't that thrilling/fantastic?"  But we hadn't said a word aloud to each other for half an hour, but we shared the book just the same :c).

I've been craving cookies, but we don't have any in the house...

Sounds like a lovely evening. I'm still going to call you. I just never seem to think of it when I have time to talk.

I'll be seeing you in a matter of hours, but it's still lovely to take a little break from the books and read such a happy description of ... well ... books. And you.

you could always make cookies... but that's the more labor-intensive option.
